Fort Tryon Counts: Volunteer Opportunity
Wednesday, May 3, 2017
8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
We need your help! NYC Parks and the Fort Tryon Park Trust are conducting a public use study of Fort Tryon Park to help inform management of the park and its resources. We need volunteers to help count park visitors, observe park use patterns, and administer visitor questionnaires throughout the day on Wednesday, May 3 and Sunday, May 7.
This study will enable us to:
- Learn how many people the park serves
- Secure data to inform decisions about park maintenance and capital improvements
- Identify ways to ensure the park best serves the community
This is a unique opportunity to give back to Fort Tryon Park and learn about the park’s impact! To make the study successful, we need volunteers to collect data throughout the park in 2.5-hour shifts. All volunteers will receive a special thank you gift for their participation.
All volunteers must be 18 years old or older.
